My Review

Lifeline to a Soul Brings Readers Unique Insights into the Author's World. I love memoirs because they give me unique views into the lives and experiences of others. This memoir is no exception. McLaughlin takes readers into his world as he seeks to teach and share his passions and experiences to encourage others. Most of the readers of McLaughlin's novel have yet to step inside prison walls, so they will have the chance to learn about life and the world beyond their usual day.

Lifeline to a Soul is a well-written, Inspirational Memoir. The author is a salesman/entrepreneur turned teacher--but his presentation in this novel details his experiences trying to find a way to serve a need in an underserved population. Readers, especially those with entrepreneurial interests, will learn from McLaughlin's experiences. From following a passion to learning about "customer" needs to develop a successful, measurable product--the author's story is an engaging, inspirational look at business and life.

Would I Recommend Lifeline to a Soul by John McLaughlin? I love life stories. My husband says that I'm just nosy--and that may well be true! Finding a well-written, well-organized memoir that gives me more profound insights into things I've not experienced firsthand is always a welcome find! This book is that find. If you enjoy memoirs--and are interested in entrepreneurial insights, education, or looks at life inside prisons and criminal justice rehabilitation, this one should be on your reading list.
